28 sweet little peeping chicks arrived today. We all traipsed into the post office to retrieve our darlings. It was a field trip of sorts complete with checking out all the mail boxes (because we came too early), but the hearing of their sweet little chirps for the first time was the most thrilling part of our trip. Of course we’re so excited to have them, but the 24 hour suggested wait time to handle them is a little much for the kids. They’re choosing to keep themselves busy with other things until the restriction is lifted. As you can see in the pictures they loved their first, very short, time of holding. Now onto checking them throughout the day and making sure they have plenty of water and not too hot, but not too cold temperatures.
