I enjoy this recipe because it goes together quickly and I (almost) always have the ingredients on hand. The bottom layer flips to the top, so it’s fun to make with kids.
1/2 stick of butter
1 C. flour
1 C. sugar
1 TB. baking powder
2/3 C. milk
1 large can of sliced peaches*
Melt 1/2 stick butter in cast iron skillet.
In separate bowl mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Then add milk and mix.
Pour the batter over the butter in the skillet.
Add peaches evenly over the batter.
Do No Stir.
Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
*Other sweetened fruit may be used.
